Warning social distancing could last a year

The Australian Medical Association is calling for tougher action to control the spread of coronavirus.

Social distancing measures might stick around for a year, according to scientists.

Adam Kucharski, an epidemiologist at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine, said the idea that if you closed schools and shut restaurants for a couple of weeks and got back to normal life wasn’t going to happen.
